Introduction

More Than Money, Inc. is a workshop designed to enable you to organize, evaluate and communicate to your loved ones some of the most important personal and financial information and decisions of your life. It is important to have this information in one place. Therefore, we are providing a 3-ring binder with tab dividers and over 275 pages to help you get organized, plus a printable CD of all the worksheets. Each tab divider contains information, tips and worksheets to assist you.

This course offers a comprehensive look at critical documents and information necessary for personal and financial decisions.  The course will cover strategies on how to organize, evaluate, and communicate your personal and financial information to your loved ones.  Topic include personal and financial planning, medical decisions, and surviving the death of a loved one.

Although this workshop is scheduled for 3 hours, completing your notebook may require more hours on your own and/or the assistance of a professional. The amount of time will be determined by the complexity of your personal and financial situation and the amount of planning and organizing you have done in the past.  The EXTENDED workshop is 15 hours and provides additional materials.

Over the years, as a pastor, I have observed the tremendous stress imposed on families and survivors because their loved ones did not leave a well organized personal and financial and estate plan. Settling a disorganized estate is usually more expensive, time consuming and emotionally stressful for families and survivors.

This workshop and workbook are intended to serve as a “master file” in assisting you with your personal and financial and estate information. The main function of the “master file” is to provide a “road map” for your records. No decisions concerning insurance, investments, ownership of assets, estate planning or any legal documents should be made without the advice and assistance of competent professionals, including attorneys, accountants and financial planners.

My wife and I married in 1970 and I entered full time ministry in 1977.  Since that time we have watched our own family and friends struggle with decisions that could have easily been decided if some one had taken the time to complete a piece of paper, i.e., will, medical power of attorney, etc.  It is with a passionate heart that I encourage you to attend one of our workshops and complete the workbook.  The personal value to your family could be priceless.
