Estate Planning is not just for the wealthy. Recent legislation made important changes concerning transfer taxes and other matters related to estate planning. The legislation does NOT provide for the elimination of the estate tax. In short, millions still have wealth sufficient to create a taxable estate. People tend to be wealthier than they think.

New IRS Rules! No longer will the IRS accept “guesstimates” on the value of bags of used clothing given to Goodwill, changed dropped in the Salvation Army bucket or the church collection plate or other small donations. Instead, taxpayers will now be required to document their giving in all shapes and sizes, from used cars to used clothing.
